Active Fuel Management (AFM) or displacement on demand (DOD) removal kit is designed to eliminate the cylinder deactivation system on GM V8 engines. In AFM equipped vehicles, the stock cam profile is embarrassingly small and prevents the GM V8 from producing any sort of decent power. In addition, AFM lifters are not designed to accommodate high lift cams and can potentially fail if they're not replaced with the appropriate components. This delete kit is ideal for those looking at installing a performance camshaft or simply just unlocking the characteristics of a fully operable V8 all the time.
