DAYCO AUTOMATIC MAIN DRIVE BELT TENSIONER TO SUIT HSV LS2 LS3 6.0L 6.2L V8

This Dayco Automatic belt tensioner is designed to meet OEM performance standards and to maintain constant tension on serpentine belt drives. It features a patented “flat pring” design that is specifically engineered to provide less variation in operating range tension. Thus, providing decreased risk of premature accessory bearing failure due to high tension on installation of a new belt. The risk of belt squeal and slippage or poor accessory performance caused by low tension is also reduced after the belt begins to stretch and wear.

This Automatic belt tensioner suits a range of HSV vehicles fitted with the LS2 and LS3 V8 engines.

Features:

• Teflon® strip wound within the spring resists abrasion.
• The flat spring is coated to resist rust.
• A heavy-duty cast aluminum spring case resists cracking and fatigue.
• The heavy-duty cast aluminum arm offers additional strength and less distortion.
• Aluminum retainer ring locks the spring case and arm together, and seals against corrosion.
• A thermoplastic rubber “spring slot plug” keeps out harmful contaminants. 
• The lubricated nylon “pivot tube bushing” and “spring bushing” promote quieter performance.
• A rubber “O” ring seals against dust and grime.
• The zinc coated mounting bolt resists rust, and is concentric for a more even degree of constant tension.
• These tensioners come with either a glass-filled polymer (plastic) or steel pulley, that features a dust cover to protect against contaminants.
