It’s worth the price tag

I have a series 1 vt sedan this woke it up tremendously revs quicker and harder lots more pick up very noticeable especially in power shift has ironed out some flat spot's and also increased limiter a little it’s a good tune I really recommend.

It’s improved my fuel economy and was easy to install and for $150 is a steal I would definitely recommend it

Shift points are way better! Will take it to the redline if you put your foot down. Small but notable power gains (Basically irons out flat spots). Throttle is more responsive. Idles better. Fitted to VT Ecotec S2. Good bang for buck!

And gear changes where real smooth i will buy another if i ever get another v6 and has already recommended to my friends because this product is the best

Had a great experience dealing with Mace Engineering. Received the MEMCAL really quickly, and ,at a great price. It has sorted out an idle problem I was having, the acceleration has also improved ,,,which should give me better fuel economy

Hardest part of the install was figuring out which way the memcal fit. Very easy to complete the installation. Took the car for a drive after the memcal was installed. Feels like a totally different car. Smoother idle, acceleration is a lot better, shifts are smoother and instantaneous fuel readings show the car is using less fuel. Car feels like a bit of a sleeper, can definitely feel the power gain during acceleration. Feels a lot lighter

After putting in this memcal in i noticed the engine was picked up and the gearing was great ontop of my other mods this chip was worth every cent not to mention the power is smoother and once again thanks mace prior to buying a memcal from mace i went to turbo industries where i purchased their memcal and i didnt evan want to put it in my car due to its poor quality and soldering and compared to maces chip well lets say the mace chip is what you want for the brain of your ride i will be buying everything i need from these pro engineers from now on as everything i have brought as wowed me every day i drive my pride and joy

Easy to install, hardest part is getting the plastic cover back over the computer. Would make life easier if a picture was included in the bag of how to fit it, but 3 seconds on the MACE website fixed that. Started it up(w00t), car sounds different. Idle is down to 900(was 1000 just before disconnecting battery), will take it for a spin and see how she goes

very good, however it needs to have clear instructions on how to access the PCM but it works extremely well for throttle response. i got the throttle body tune and its great.

When i first installed the Memcal in my stock S1 VT in noticed immediate improvement in power, however when i was under full throttle the motor would ping. I contact Mace and they mentioned the it was because i was running 91 octane fuel, the mace engineer said i could return the ship, and they would replace it with a new one tuned to 91 octane. Mace provided me with a reply paid details to return it, and then sent me an updated chip that no longer pings. I am very happy with this chip, the car has more power and just drives so much better.
The support i received from Mace engineering was exceptional. It is good to see some people still offer great customer service.

I have used the memcal in my Series 1 VT S Pack Manual. Immediately after installing it and cranking the motor over I noticed a change in just the way the car idled. I have only put a 2.5" SuperCat catback exhaust and K&N panel filter, everything else is bog stock. With only 90000kms on my car I was not expecting much. I was wrong in assuming this though. The memcal was easy to install and has made my car completely different to drive. No longer do I have to ride the clutch from the lights. The pick up is miles better, it revs much faster and is very punchy in the low down. I would imagine the manifold spacer will compliment the chip very well. Couldn't be happier :)

installed this in my stock 00 VT and noticed instantly more power through out the entire rev range. shifts harder which is good. also noticed that the VT redlined higher to 5700rpm. love what this product has done to my stock VT. on premium i reckon she puts out up to 160kw now

Makes a massive difference as far as rev ranges and changing shift points. Also makes the auto shifts a bit harder which is really good because the stock auto's can be rather sloppy on the changes. I have a few mace products in my car (1.98:1 rockers, 69mm TB, 25mm manifold spacer) and it runs amazingly now with full exhaust system and big mouth CAI. Definately recommend to anyone for bang for buck enhancements

Installed into a VT series 1 with a 2.5 inch catback as the only modification, made a massive difference! shifts are better, car runs and idles way better! acceleration is less hesitant! very good price for a mod that makes such a difference!!!

Put this into a rock stock 1998 VT Series 1 V6 that has 120,000km on the clock. Noticed the car was much more refined to drive with a bit more power everywhere. In particular feels better off the mark and the gear changes are better placed and much smoother. I had read holden revised their memcals for series 2 so perhaps this is why my series 1 benefited so much. Appears to be more economical on fuel (when driven sensibly) and overall is now a much nicer car to drive.
