Engine definitely breathes better with this fitted. I am hoping for better fuel economy as the ecotec engine is heavier on fuel than the VR V6. After 450K with the VR engine, the fuel economy was better than anything I've had out of the ecotec engine. Shortly, I'll fit the matching memcal and then we'll see if this expense has been worth it.

My throttle body arrived today.
Installed today along with the retuned PCM.
The difference in throttle response and crispness of acceleration was immediately apparent.
Its like driving a different vehicle.
Before today's install the engine ran a bit like a radio station just off station and that's after I had a new Pacemaker exhaust installed, along with new leads and plugs.
I think the combination now, with the retuned PCM and throttle body has improved the engine character substantially.

I installed this in my manual vx ecotec to settle the revs down through gear changes. The very annoying factory set up would increase the revs, then hold during gear changes. This product settled the issue down by at least half. Now the revs just drop, albeit quite slowly, however its much better and more enjoyable to drive. Steve has recommended other items to settle the issue further, and also recommended some Mace products to avoid that would potentially make the issue worse. Cant fault Steve's honest advice and guidance in solving this very annoying issue. Five stars all the way.

I installed this along with the recommended memcal chip and noticed the difference as soon as I left the driveway. Car feels much more powerful off the line, transmission changes up earlier and changes down much faster. I give it a little more throttle and feel it instantly. And this is still running on 91, look forward to seeing the difference when I fill up with 98.
