What Do You Suggest?

Q. I was after some modifications to reach the 200 rwkw for my VX but I don’t want forced induction as I’m still on my P's what would you recommend? Cost kept to a minimal but I want to achieve the 200 mark

A. If you're looking at achieving around 200rwkw in a V6 without forced induction you'd probably be looking at over 10 grand. If you wanted say around the 140 to +150kw at the wheels mark we can get away with bolts on and can vary from around 1500 to 4000 depending o how far you want to go.

Q. I like to be able to cruise, drive around normal. But when I want to overtake or off the mark up to 100 I want a good throw back in the seat feeling. Maybe some 1/4 runs here and there also. But not killing all low down take off power in the process. What do you suggest?

A. Well I would probably suggest our higher ratio rockers as bang for buck they can't be beat. Not only this but they are the best option available if you still want to maintain factory driveability. And the good thing is that we know offer a cam to suit these higher ratio rockers so if you wanted even more power later on down the track you can, whilst still keeping your higher rockers.

Q. I’ve been reading up on all the products you offer and was wondering what’s the best option for my car, I have a stock 97 VS V6 Ecotec, factory manual. Budget is set at around 3-4k not including labour. Without going the forced induction route what’s the best combo of mods around my price range. I’m looking for something that’s quick off the line more than top speed.

A. Exhaust: An off the shelf single 2 1/2" redback exhaust system.
Diff: 3.45 LSD
Engine Mods: MACE 1.98:1 rockers, Cold air intake enclosure, 69mm Throttle body, 25mm manifold insulator and a 12mm plenum spacer.

If your budget was to stretch far enough then a set of modded cylinder heads would work well.

Q. I have a VR commodore s2 auto, extractors (pacemaker) 2 1/2 exhaust rear muffler removed, not much apart from that. Now what mods can I do to this beaut to get her up and running even more?

A. Well it depends on your budget. If you wanted a few more bolt on’s then I would recommend, our cold air intake kit or larger throttle body. If you’re willing to do more, than I would suggest one of our cam and chip packages.
