At $130 plus $15 express postage I didn't think it was much of a risk as I was up for a change of spark plugs any how and the local dealer quoted me $74 for a new plenum chamber gasket (Rip off or what).
So for the difference ($76)I had a chance to improve performance and in particularly torque.
The result was very satisfactory, as last weekend I had to move my son from Woolongong to Singleton which included 3 large adults the back seat stacked to the roof behind the drivers seat, the boot choke a block full and a 7X4 feet box trailer wich among being stacked approximately 2.5 feet high with his goods and chattels I packed in a VT250 motorcycle and 2 X 26" bicycles for good measure (What a load).
The car a 2004 VZ Commodore had no trouble pulling up Mt Ouslie out of woolongong at approx 80 Klm per hour on a stinking hot day. The vehicle returned fuel consumtion by the onboard computer of around 11.4 litres per 100 Klm's, in my book an excellent result with that load.
