X-AIR Performance specialises in Over The Radiator Cold Air Intakes for all VE Commodores and has been manufacturing this type of product for over 8 years. The main advantage over other OTR CAI’s is the venturi effect created by the top shape of the X-AIR OTR body combined with the filter size. A massive volume of cold air from in front of the radiator is rammed/sucked straight through the filter then channelled directly up and around the curved top section increasing the velocity of the incoming air and forcing its way into the throttle body.

The X-AIR OTR has the largest air filter panel on the market. Extensive testing and research has proven that the larger the area, the less restriction & servicing required. This also makes them ideal for head & cam modified cars.

Notes:

  • If slight hesitation is felt during heavy acceleration it is most likely torque management retarding timing to save driveline components. To completely disable this feature a dyno tune is required.
  • AFM equipped models will require a dyno tune post installation.
  • MAF kits may require some trimming to the silicone joiner for a perfect fit.
  • Side fascia panels to suit this OTR CAI can be purchased through another listing.
  • If you wish to retain the mechanical sound enhancer on VF.II V8 models, a connector elbow is required. Please contact us for further details.
  • Any VE commodore manufactured after September 2011 (VE.II) will not be compatible with the earlier VE V8 kits and vice versa.
