The PCV (Positive Crankcase Ventilation) valve system is designed to remove and regulate fumes from the engine crankcase. The system controls the pressure by directing the air into the intake which minimises crankcase pressure and helps avoid oil leaks or seal damage. This reduces emissions by burning oil vapour in the engine rather than releasing it to the atmosphere. The negative effect is that the intake manifold can become coated in oil. 

This Splitflow oil catch can kit has been manufactured to filter the oil residue from your engine crankcase. The residue is filtered as it goes through the baffled can which condenses the oil vapour and only allows clean air to flow back in the vehicle's inlet system. The application alongside with the installation of this part is simple and easy, and is quite effective with regards to the vehicle's performance.

• This catch can system is suitable for other vehicle applications after adjusting the supplied brackets. These brackets only fit if the vehicle has a sports filter system and the original filter box has been removed, due to under bonnet space restriction.
