The Rollmaster Red series timing chain kit is manufactured to exacting standards using billet steel for both the crank and camshaft sprockets. This kit comes with 9-keyway crankshaft sprocket to allow more adjustment for dialling in the cam. Crankshaft sprocket keyways are in 2 degree increments always unless otherwise stated. The relationship from crank keyway to camshaft sprocket timing is 2:1 meaning that the amount of advance or retard at the camshaft is in one degree increments i.e. 1, 2, 3 or 4 degrees. Multiple keyways are a solid fixture and do not tend to move or work loose like offset dowels, thus providing a positive locking of the cam timing to the desired position.

The Rollmaster timing chain kit is light weight but stronger than any other kit available due to the weight savings of billet steel and CNC machinery. Rolling resistance is also substantially decreased on the cam gear with the use of a Torrington thrust bearing. No additional machining is required to fit this kit and there is no need for offset bushings or drilling of cam gears. 

All Red series timing chain kits come with a standard billet steel construction, induction hardened crank gear and Rollmaster's own premium grade Iwis full roller timing chain.

The chain kit is ideal as a standard replacement upgrade for mildly modified builds.

This package (GM part number: 12633906) is standard replacement for all GM LS-Series V8's except for LS1. However, it can also be used to adapt a Gen IV camshaft into a Gen III LS1 vehicle when combined with a CAS109081 cam/knock sensor extension as well as an appropriate timing set.

The GM 1-piece timing cover included in this package is built to the highest quality standards to ensure an excellent fit and leak free seal. This kit utilizes a front camshaft sensor allowing both single and multi trigger camshaft sprockets to be used.

The hubs center bore is sized for the appropriate interference fit and no pinning or drilling is necessary for installation. Once fitted, installing a different size pulley becomes a 2 minute job! This main cap girdle is designed to reduce "cap walk", stop block web flexing and eliminate cracking of the main caps/block webs; this is achieved by boxing in the main caps. Our light weight girdle evenly distributes load and dampens harmonics by bolting the main cap studs together to create a super strong rectangular cage. The brace nearly doubles the main web support area in the engine.

In addition, due to the close proximity of the main stud girdle to the crankshaft and rods it also aids in stripping oil off of the crank, which in itself yields a net gain in HP.

Fabricated from 12.5mm thick 6061-T6 aluminium, these girdles are a must for high rpm/high horsepower applications where block rigidity is critical.

Cranking up the boost on your LSA V8 has never been so easy. With our new and innovative supercharger pulley removal tool, this can be done right in the comfort of your own garage. The factory press-fit pulley has been pressed on with a significant amount of force which may seem impossible to remove, however with our proven design, removing the OEM pulley is almost like a walk in the park.

Designed and manufactured right here in-house, many painstaking hours were spent utilising CAD modelling and FEA testing of different arrangements before we settled on a design that was going to be effective, robust and simple to use. The main plates are laser cut from 16mm thick high strength mild steel to guarantee an even distribution of pressure acting on the pulley without deformation. This results in a clean and precise pulling motion that can be repeated infinitely without failure.

Perfect for general mechanics without a shop-press that perform these jobs on a regular basis or a group of mates looking to share a tool by splitting the bill.

 

Tool Loan:

This tool is also available to be loaned out for $50, but we will also require a $160 bond. The bond will be fully refunded once the tool has been returned in complete working order within 30 days. Should you damage components, the core refund will be pro-rated to cover the cost of the damaged parts (not including consumables like anti-seize lubricant).
